Poplar Ridge Lodge

...remote fishing at its best!

Square log Cabin

This cabin has become our most requested after we extended it to include a large 20x10 foot screened-in porch. The cabin was originally a log home in Hornepayne. It was moved across the ice piece-by-piece and re-built in its current spot at the far end of the bay in the 1950’s. The new porch takes advantage of its position with views out over the lake to 'Indian Island', a tiny island which was home to a number of First Nations families as recently as the 1940's.

The end cabin has 2 bedrooms with a double bed and bunk in one and a single bed and bunk in the other, sleeping a maximum of six. It also features its own dock.

All our cabins are clean and comfortable, and contain:

  • 2 bedrooms with pillows, sheets and blankets
  • Fully equipped kitchen
  • Electric fridge
  • Electricity with outlets (generator run in evenings)
  • Full size propane bbq grill for outdoor use
  • Fish fryer
  • Running water
  • Fresh drinking water for the week
  • Living/dinning area
  • Wood stove for heat
  • Indoor toilet
  • Access to hot shower and steam bath
  • Power for sleep apnea machines (Please let us know when booking if you have a sleep apnea machine)
